  • The third type is a third-degree burn when the burn has penetrated well below the skin’s surface including damaging hair follicles and sweat glands. The only real remedy for this type of burn is a series of skin grafts.

The Process of Filing a Workers’ Comp. Claim for an Aramark Burn Injury

As soon as you have been burned, you must inform your Aramark supervisor, which must take place within 24 hours of the accident. If you miss this deadline, Aramark’s workers’ comp. insurers could deny your clam. To further back up your burn injury, you will need some sort of evidence to prove it took place while you were at work.

If your injury was so serious you had to be rushed to hospital for treatment you may be able to source footage of the burn event from Aramark’s CCTV network. Failing that you will need to ask eye witnesses to write down what they saw when you were burned. As soon as you are sure you have sufficient proof you can begin to file a claim for workers’ comp.

As WC is a no fault insurance even if you were partly to blame for the burn event that does not stop you getting workers’ compensation.
